March 29, 2018

Madhumitha has been awarded the Faculty for the Future Fellowship by the Schlumberger Foundation for the academic year 2018-19.

“The need of the century is to reduce carbon emissions and replace fossil fuels with cleaner and safer energy sources. My work at the Red Laboratory involves applying machine learning tools in the estimation of key parameters necessary to improve nuclear energy sources. I feel delighted to have been awarded this fellowship because I have always been passionate about pursuing a career in academia and doing good research. This fellowship has provided me with an opportunity to work in the Red Lab that nurtures my work in the field of heat transfer and artificial intelligence.”

The faculty for the Future Fellowship by the Schlumberger Foundation is to help women from developing countries pursue education and careers in STEM.
